Upon your arrival at Bagdogra Airport/NJP Railway Station, our representatives will welcome you and escort you to your hotel in Gangtok. Spend the rest of the day at leisure to acclimatize to the altitude, explore local markets, and try out Sikkimese cuisine.
The second day will be dedicated to exploring Gangtok. Visit the famous Rumtek Monastery, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, and Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms. Also, take a ride in the Gangtok Ropeway to get an aerial view of the city.
On the second day, embark on a trip to the breathtaking Tsomgo Lake and the sacred Baba Mandir. Tsomgo Lake is a glacial lake located at an altitude of 3,753m, and is surrounded by rugged mountains. Baba Mandir is a shrine dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh, revered by soldiers and civilians alike.
Enjoy a day trip to Nathula Pass, situated at 14,140 feet above sea level, connecting Sikkim with China’s Tibet Autonomous Region. This journey will be filled with panoramic views of the snow-covered Himalayan peaks. Do note that the visit is subject to permit and weather conditions.
On the fifth day, you’ll be driven to Darjeeling, the world-renowned tea capital of India. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Spend the evening strolling through the local market or simply relax and enjoy the cool mountain air.
Wake up early to witness the sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga from the Tiger Hill. Later in the day, explore the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Tenzing Rock, and the famous Tea Gardens. Don’t forget to take a joyride in the UNESCO World Heritage Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, also known as the Toy Train.
Bid goodbye to the beautiful landscapes of North East India. You’ll be transferred to Bagdogra Airport/NJP Railway Station for your onward journey.
