The High Country Transition

This path is designed for travelers who seek the quiet of the upper plateaus. We move from the plains of Ranchi into a landscape of deep valleys and wide, open highlands. The route follows the ridgelines where the forest meets the sky, moving through hidden jungle trails and the stillness of the Pandrapat plains. This is an unhurried journey—moving from the roar of hidden falls to the green expanses of tea gardens—allowing you to witness the true character of the Jashpur soul.

Day 1: The Ascent

Departure from Ranchi for a steady drive into Jashpur. We establish our base at the Jashpur outpost and spend the afternoon observing the local rhythms of the town.

A morning hike through the Deshdekha ridgeline to Madheshwar Parvat. We follow a hidden jungle trail to reach the summit. The afternoon is spent at the Sarudih tea garden and the local museum, ending the day at the tiered cascades of Rani Dah waterfall.

A day spent in the highest reaches of the region. We cross the vast, open plains of Pandrapat and Sanna, eventually reaching the spray of the massive Makkarbhajja waterfall.

A day dedicated to the waterfalls of Gullu and Churi. We spend the afternoon at the Mayali Dam for water sports before Returning to the Jashpur outpost.

A final morning on the plateau before the drive back to Ranchi for departure.
